How to Join the Gray Order
The following steps must be followed to join the Gray Order:
1. Read all information contained in the Visitor Information Section (there are several section pages). If you agree to all the information and believe that the Gray Order is a good fit for you, then proceed. Perferred age is 24 and over. No one under 18 will be accepted without special permission by the Guild Leader (which will be very rare, if at all). (If you are under 18 years of age, you must e-mail admin@grayorder.org and ask permission. A Guild Leadership representative will contact you by e-mail. Check your junk mail folder if needed.)
2. Register at this website. It is preferred that you use your first name, a nickname, or a gaming nickname that is easy to pronounce. Please avoid any gaming nicknames that are long or difficult to pronounce or phrases (example: don't use names like "TheMightySnakeHunter" or "Lorklinumdiuos". Keeping website names simple will help in voice communication when used, as well as just normal typed forum communication. You will get automated e-mail that you must be approved (check your junk mail folder if needed). Immediately proceed to next step.
Repeat: Immediately proceed to next step! You will not be approved if you don't. :)
3. As soon as you register, send e-mail to admin@grayorder.org with "Membership Request for xxxxxx" as the Subject (xxxxxx is replaced with the name you registered with). In the body, please write a paragraph or two including your age, general geographic location, brief explanation of why you want to join the Gray Order, and a brief description of yourself (examples: roleplay style, experience, expectations, and talents). Please note that the Guild Leadership will use this information to judge your attitude and maturity level.
4. You will receive a reply from a Guild Leadership representative with either additional questions or an approval/rejection answer (check your junk mail folder if needed) within a few days. Please take the time to follow up on any questions the Guild Leadership might have in a timely manner.
5. If approved, you will get an automated e-mail from the website that you need to activate your account (check your junk mail folder if needed). Once you do that, you will be a member and have access to the forums to start posting and getting to know the other members. (If rejected, you may appeal by sending e-mail to admin@grayorder.org .)
